Why we built our own site in code, the technical and creative choices behind the project, and what it says about the way we work.
We work in an industry where we build other people's digital presence. But when it comes to creating our own, it's a different story. The bar is higher, because this site is our showcase. It has to embody exactly what we promise our clients.
Our previous site had served its purpose. But it no longer reflected the quality of what we produce today, nor the direction we want to take. We needed to start from scratch, with the same rigor we bring to client projects.
The goal was clear: a site that shows, before we've even said a word, what SmartFlow is capable of delivering.
At SmartFlow, we don't work with WordPress, Wix, or page builders. Every site we deliver is developed entirely in code. And our own site is no exception.
The tech stack: Next.js for server-side rendering and native SEO, React for interfaces, TypeScript for reliable code, and Tailwind CSS for the design system. Every choice is deliberate.
Why this approach? Because building in code gives us total control over every pixel, every animation, every interaction. No dependency on third-party plugins. No limitations imposed by a theme. And performance levels that standardized solutions simply cannot achieve.
Next.js with App Router and React Server Components enables hybrid rendering (SSG + ISR) that combines the best of static and dynamic. It's the framework used by Vercel, Netflix, and thousands of high-traffic sites.

Our site is the proof: Lighthouse scores above 95 on every metric, load times under 2 seconds, Core Web Vitals in the green on both mobile and desktop.
smartflowsa.ch is not an online brochure. It's a product. Every detail has been thought through, every section has its purpose.
The visual hierarchy naturally guides visitors from one section to the next. Animations aren't decorative: they pace the narrative and accompany the scroll journey. The user flow is designed to be understood in seconds, on any screen.
